ARE YOU FILING FOR PROBATE, or HAVE YOU ALREADY FILED??

Please Please Please do not forget that when you are issued Orders and Letters for your probate, YOU ARE NOT DONE! So may of our clients have come to us for help because the judge has slapped a fine on them for not following through.

These things are REQUIRED after Orders and Letters are issued:

1) A notice of the decedent's probate estate is sent to the California Franchise Tax Board within 90 days

2) A notice is given to the California Victim Compensation Board for any heirs that are currently or have been incarcerated (within 90 days if applicable)

3) The Inventory and Appraisal is filed with the court within 4 months

4) An "Accounting" is filed with the court within one year
